LPA

Low Pressure Area

  • Today I Learned that low-pressure arealow or depression, is a region where the atmospheric pressure is lower than that of surrounding locations. Low-pressure systems form under areas of wind divergence which occur in upper levels of the troposphere. The formation process of a low-pressure area is known as cyclogenesis
  • Learning about this phenomenon is important because an LPA is a sign that there will be a storm or typhoon when the LPA is strong. It's important because it help's us to be aware of the incoming storm.
  • On a larger scale, I will share my learning's about this phenomenon to others because I want them to have knowledge with this. I know they already learn few about this, but I want to expand their information about this topic.
  • I need to know more about this phenomenon because it may help me, or student that will get Meteorologist which can be a historical to us.

Cold Front

Cold Front

  • Today I Learned that cold front is defined as the leading edge of a cooler mass of air, replacing (at ground level) a warmer mass of air, which lies within a fairly sharp surface trough of low pressure. It forms in the wake of an extratropical cyclone, at the leading edge of its cold air advection pattern, which is also known as the cyclone's dry conveyor belt circulation.
  • I will apply my learning's about this phenomenon and study more about this topic. This study explains more about air temperature. Applying learning about this topic is important and knowledgeable for students like us.
  • Learning about this phenomenon is important because cold front is the study why people around us feels different air temperature. The picture above shows the process of cooling air and warm air.
  • On a larger scale, I will share my learning's about this phenomenon to others because as a student like me I want them to gain information about this topic so that they'll know why the air temperature is cold or warm.
  • I need to know more about this phenomenon not only it's process and effect but specifically about it's causes to made this process. I want to increase my knowledge about this because me or this topic can help anyone someday.

DESIDERATA

DESIDERATA

Desiderata (Latin: "desired things") is a 1927 prose poem by American writer Max Ehrmann (1872–1945). Largely unknown in the author's lifetime, the text became widely known after its use in a devotional, after subsequently being found at Adlai Stevenson's deathbed in 1965, and after spoken-word recordings in 1971 and 1972.
"Speak your truth quietly and clearly and listen to others" it's the line in the poem of Max Ehrmann that I noticed first. I think it says that you must believe yourself of what you're now."Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit." You must avoid them because they are somewhat related to the people whose life are ruined that they don't believe themselves what they can do."Be yourself." Believe in yourself what can you do to/ achieve.

In this poem, people think about why other people are higher than what they are now. There is no gap between them.  They can improve themselves what other people doing right now so that they can achieve their dreams and what do they want.

People have/ or must have relationship with GOD. Because GOD knows what to do. Having relationship with GOD will make you strong to fight the struggles you're in now and the struggles that will come. Be peace with GOD that's what the poem want's us to know.

Storm Signals

Today I learned that............
PSWS # 1
PSS1.jpgMETEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS:
  • A tropical cyclone will affect the locality.
  • Winds of 30-60 kph may be expected in at least 36 hours or intermittent rains may be expected within 36 hours. (When the tropical cyclone develops very close to the locality a shorter lead time of the occurrence of the winds will be specified in the warning bulletin.)
.
PSWS # 2
PSS2.jpgMETEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS:
  • A tropical cyclone will affect the the locality.
  • Winds of greater than 60 kph and up to 100 kph may be expected in at least 24 hours.

PSWS # 3
PSS3.jpgMETEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS:
  • A tropical cyclone will affect the locality.
  • Winds of greater than 100 kph up to 185 kph may be expected in at least 18 hours.
PSWS # 4
PSS4.jpgMETEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS:
  • A very intense typhoon will affect the locality.
  • Very strong winds of more than 185 kph may be expected in at least 12 hours.

  • Today I learned that  storm signals are usually raised when an area (in the Philippines only) is about to be hit by a tropical cyclone. As a tropical cyclone gains strength and/or gets nearer to an area having a storm signal, the warning may be upgraded to a higher one in that particular area (e.g. a signal #1 warning for an area may be increased to signal #3). Conversely, as a tropical cyclone weakens and/or gets farther to an area, it may be downgraded to a lower signal or may be lifted (that is, an area will have no storm signal).
  • I will apply my learnings about this phenomenon in case when a strong typhoons occurs, me and my family are ready about this.
  • Learning about this phenomenon is important because knowing it is very helpful and to be aware.
  • On a larger scale, i will share my learnings to others because i want them to have an information about this to help them.
  • I need to know  more about what factor/s affect/s the raising of the levels of the storm signals.

Tropical Cyclone

Tropical Cyclone

  • Today I learned that tropical cyclone is a storm system characterized by a low-pressure center and numerous thunderstorms that produce strong winds and heavy rain.
  • I will apply my learnings about this phenomenon in case that it occurs we're ready about that strong wind and heavy rain.
  • Learning about this phenomenon is important because knowing this, is important to us, to our lives, so we can prepare on it.
  • On a larger scale, I will share my learnings about this phenomenon to others because I want to work for theirselves to survive, but if only they can't that's the time to help.
  • I need to know more about this phenomenon so that it can improve my knowledge about this and to study

La Niña

La Niña

  • Today I learned that  La Niña is a coupled ocean-atmosphere phenomenon that is the counterpart of El Niño as part of the broader El Niño-Southern Oscillation climate pattern.
  • I will apply my learnings about this phenomenon in terms when there is a strong rainy season I can prepare the things needed outside the house.
  • Learning about this phenomenon is important because we can prepare and clean our waterways before it comes so that it wiill prevent the flood.
  • On a larger scale, I will share my learnings about this phenomenon to others because I want them to prepare for themselves and to survive for their own lives.
  • I need to know more about  the effects of this phenomenon on our daily lives for us to survive.

El Niño

El Niño
  • Today I learned that  El Niño  is a quasiperiodic climate pattern that occurs across the tropical Pacific Ocean roughly every five years.
  • I will apply my learnings about this phenomenon so that I know what to do when there is too much of heat coming from the sun.
  • Learning about this phenomenon is important because it can help our daily lives to survive from the too much of heat coming from the sun.
  • On a larger scale, I will share my learnings about this phenomenon to others because I want them to know what to do not by asking help from others but asking themselves what will they do.
  • I need to know more about this phenomenon so that I can prepare the good food for this season.
